“I fell in love with the island lifestyle and culture at the age of 10 when I was invited to a local family lū‘au and tasted the wide variety of fruits and flavors here on the islands,” recalls Lisa Christian, owner and operator of Home Tours Hawai‘i. “I was introduced to this company six years ago when our ocean front condo was one of the homes on the tour. As the business grew, so did my involvement from homeowner, to driver/assistant, to sous chef, and now owner.”
Pat and Lisa Christian traveled to the islands many times and finally made the move in 2004 to full-time residents. Growing up working in the family’s restaurants on the mainland, they learned the necessary skills needed.
Their love of living on the islands is apparent throughout the tour. Their goal is to help others taste the Hawai‘i Lifestyle and see what life is like past the hotels, lū‘aus, and restaurants.
